“Our current home was bought equally for its location and also for its potential. The  kitchen was a good size with plenty of natural light, but needed updating. After a few  years of living with an ineffective downdraft in the center island, as well as an inefficient  kitchen layout, we decided it was time. The only thing we knew was we needed a visual  drawing to move forward. Based on online reviews, our list of kitchen designers led us  to Richard Buckler at Details Interiors. He responded quickly, looked at the project  within a few days, and then provided us with a multi-view drawing a few days later. It  was determined it was best for the ventilation system to be moved to an exterior wall.  From there, the design evolved resulting in two kitchen islands. Our relationship with  Richard turned into a great partnership as the scope of work affected more rooms and  surfaces. The time waiting for appliance orders actually allowed us to tweak the layout  and measurements to a space we find truly practical and enjoyable. 

Richard has a great team, all delivering excellent talent and craftsmanship. He has the  corporate experience to manage projects, the technical skills of an engineer, and first hand knowledge of each of the trades necessary to deliver a high-end project. All of that  combined gained our confidence. Richard put our kitchen dreams into actual specs and  turned it into reality. I call him our Pinterest dream-maker. With his designer eye, the  end result has both form and function. This is a case where reality turned out better than  what we dreamed in the beginning. We’re honestly still gushing over it.

We would like to thank Richard Buckler and Details for all the design work, assistance and advice during the construction of our brand new, custom home.  Richard was BY FAR the most invaluable person during the entire construction process.  He helped us design the kitchen of our dreams and bring it to reality by having his team at Mike’s Woodworking build and install the exquisite custom cabinetry he designed, with all the bells and whistles.  He listened to our ideas and designed an incredible, supersized island in the most luxurious natural walnut finish and topped that by creating a hidden cabinet entry into our oversized pantry.  He then turned his innovative design style towards planning all of our custom bathroom and laundry room cabinetry, helped us with all of our home lighting fixtures as well as all cabinet hardware.  Richard was the PERFECT design partner for our project and we cannot thank him enough for the fantastic customer service that he provided throughout the building process. Our new home would not be the dream home that it is without Richard’s Details!!!
